Today I was leading a requirements-gathering meeting with some government biologists. There was a topic to reserve for later discussion, so I wrote “Parking Lot” on the whiteboard as usual.
Car metaphors are over-used in business facilitation, so I asked them for alternatives from the natural world. Hibernation was suggested! So from now on, I will be saving up ideas in a cave, den, or some other hibernaculum.
The ensuing laughter might explain why they said “Alana, you make this [requirements-gathering] much less painful than it could be!”
