Architecture sells itself

This painting is based on an architecture diagram where business people can see how they interact with others.

Today I presented a business architecture to a review committee, which gave my report high praise and approved it with only minor adjustments.  That part was nice, but what I’m actually more proud of is that we got the Big Scary Department to cooperate with our project, and now they want to do business architecture too!

Architects often discuss how to “sell” the practice of enterprise architecture within their organizations.  It seems that the best tool to promote architecture is one page of the architecture itself, where people can see themselves interacting with other parts of the organization.
