Organizing my first big art exhibit

In April I took a little break from consulting, to put on a solo art exhibit.  I showed 22 paintings and other artworks at an academic conference in Vancouver.

This was my first time organizing such a thing, and it was a success!  Not only did hundreds of people see interesting art, but the show turned a profit.  My contract negotiations, marketing, shipping plans and retail system worked well, and I made good decisions under pressure.  I sold 8 original pieces, plus some reproductions, and exceeded revenue expectations by 11%.

Now I’m looking for the next challenge – leading a team, managing a project, solving a problem – knowing that I can do it!
