This is the first in a series of posts to show the kinds of diagrams I create to help clients understand their own complex organizations. To respect my clients’ confidentiality, I am choosing generic topics and changing any text that would identify an organization.
Below is a “context model” for a group responsible for performance measurement. The diagram shows that they make the organization accountable to its governors (at the top of the diagram), rather than deliver services. They rely on various suppliers and collaborators. Other diagrams would show the processes within the big box (done by the performance measurement group).
